Swimming for people with disabilities can be hugely rewarding for both the participant and the teacher. This course is designed to help swimming teachers specialise in teaching those with additional needs.

About the Course

This course is designed for learners who wish to work with those with Special Educational Needs and additional needs. No experience of swimming, teaching, or people with additional needs required. This qualification may appeal to parent, carers looking for a career change or swimming teachers who wish to specialise in teaching those with additional needs. 

The course covers:

  •  Planning, Preparing and Aquatic Teaching People with Disability
  • People with Disabilities Aquatic Activities.

This makes up the Total Qualification Time of 45 hours.

The course is assessed by:

  • The completion of a portfolio
  • and a 15-minute external exam of your practical teaching.

One successful completion holders of the qualification can teach those with additional needs.

The cost of the course payable to MXT Swimming School before the course commencement date is £300.00, which includes all course materials.
