Tim Long STA Tutor/Assessor
I have been involved in swimming since I was 13. I started by volunteering at a disabled swimming club before qualifying when I was 16. Since then i have gained a wealth of experience working with children and adults of all abilities. Whilst teaching swimming, I have also gained a degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology from the University of Chichester.
My aim is to bridge the gap between academic research and teachers and coaches at grass routes.
I tutor the STA Award and Certificate in Teaching Swimming, as well as the People with Disabilities course and Safety Award for Teachers.
I also hold qualifications in Pool Lifeguarding, Pool Plant Operations, Level 4 in Quality Assurance and I am currently studying for a Masters Degree in Occupational Psychology.
