The STA Award in Teaching Swimming is the first step in your swimming teaching career. This qualification allows you to teach up to 12 non-swimmers through to improvers and assist in lessons with more advanced learners.

About the Course

This course is designed as an introductory qualification ideal for anyone with an interest in swimming and or teaching aquatic sports. No previous experience is required.

The STA Level 2 Award in Swimming Teaching covers:

  • Planning, Delivering, Assessing and Evaluating Swimming Lessons,
  • Understand a Swimming Teacher’s Role,
